Workgroups

The best way to get involved with eC3, is to participate in one of eC3’s workgroups. Workgroups allow participants to network and collaborate with other visionaries seeking to contribute value to the topic and enhance the business of government.

Each workgroup, designed to further eC3’s core mission of cross boundary collaboration, is sponsored by an eC3 board member and includes a diverse participant base spanning different branches, levels and disciplines of government. Private sector participation is also encouraged to ensure a well-rounded perspective on each issue.

Different from the eC3 symposia which are day to day-and-a-half meetings, a workgroup is convened for the entire calendar year. The intellectual capital developed by the workgroup during the course of the year is discussed and shared at the end of the year at eC3’s annual conference.

The four workgroups for 2008 are:

The Challenges of Digital Archiving: Preserving and Enhancing the Institutional Memory of Government
Identity Management for First Responders: Ensuring Trust and Efficiency During a Crisis
RFID and Privacy: Effectively using RFID Technology in Government
