Yes, Congress did pass the Real ID Act of 2005 and the May 2008 implementation deadline is rapidly approaching. What will be required of Government organizations? How will these organizations meet the requirements? How can Government use Real ID to best advantage? This workgroup will provide advice and information from people who have worked to design the systems, create the rules and implement the solutions. This workgroup will work to provide innovative answers to what needs to be accomplished and how to do it. The document will include suggestions for making Real ID a worthwhile component of an identity infrastructure and how Real ID can catalyze the reengineering of a range of government functions.
