P.K. Agarwal serves as the Chief Information Officer(CIO) of the California Franchise Tax Board. Until recently he managed the information technology programs for the California Department of General Services. In 1995, he served as the president of the national association of the state CIO’s, known as NASIRE. He speaks and writes on the subjects of Internet, Electronic Commerce, and the emerging information driven global economy. Mr. Agarwal’s audiences include public as well as private sector executives, both nationally and internationally. Recently he made a landmark presentation on behalf of all 50 states to Al Gore’s National Information Infrastructure Advisory Council.

He has past links with the private sector including a management assignment with Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He has been the president and a member of the Board of Directors of a California Insurance company.
